Miss Biggy, the 111-foot-tall teacher!
Meet Miss Annapurna Biggypedagog, the new very tall teacher for the second-grade class.
Miss Biggy came from the Highlands. She sailed in a tall ship over the high seas to teach in California.
How does she manage? She lifts the roof off the classroom and kneels on the grass outside.

           They say Miss Biggy was born with a silver whistle around her neck and laid in a bassinet bigger than a school bus.
           A born teacher, even before she left Highland Hospital, she taught the other babies how to cry, how to wiggle their toes, and how to burp.
           Her first words were “Line up!” and “Quiet, please!". And when she took her first steps, they were always in a straight line.
           When she was still a teenager, the towering mountains and vast forests of the Northwest became Annapurna's classroom. She taught the creeks how to babble and the wolves how to howl. She taught the owls how to hoot three time and the geese to form a V in the sky. In winter, some say, she even taught the snow to fall in soft blankets for children to play in.

           Annapurna Biggypedagog was raised by her Uncle Everest. After graduating from Highland High School and Highland Teachers College, she told her uncle she wished to leave the Highlands and explore the world.
           "A good teacher should know the world well, Uncle," she said. "I want to visit the places I'm going to teach about."
           "But the land outside the Highlands is not like ours. Here, we stand with our heads above the clouds. People out there are different. Many of them have their heads in the clouds. They'll see you and treat you differently."
            Still, Uncle Everest couldn't convince his niece to stay home and teach in the Highlands. So, one fall day, Miss Biggy boarded a tall ship and sailed across the high seas to California to begin her teaching career.
